Sarah Jean Rains Wilson is a 26-year-old eventer located in the Rock Hill, SC area. She was born in the equestrian central of SC in Aiken, SC and was an active councilwoman on the Clemson Eventing Team. She has been competing for over ten years in the sport of eventing and have successfully competed and ribboned through the 1* level of FEI eventing. Nationally, she has qualified for the American Eventing Championships for the past 5 years in both Training and Preliminary. Additionally, she is a Second Level USDF dressage rider with goals of competing seriously in straight dressage as well as straight jumpers.
Her main passion is developing young and amateur riders to their fullest potential. Sarah has experience teaching both youth and adult equestrians and assisting them with green horses as well as seasoned schoolmasters. Sarah has taught many clinics, headed up many lessons barns, and has experience organizing shows and clinics.
Sarah focuses on slow and steady development of horse and rider with low-impact exercises with high-impact results. She has successfully developed riders from first time foot-in-stirrup successful Novice level eventing. Using dressage as the foundation for every horse, she has taught eventers, dressage riders, hunters, jumpers, western riders, and pleasure riders and maintained a high level of success across all disciplines of riding.
Sarah’s teaching style is light, fun, encouraging, and always positive.
